Oracle Retail Techno Functional Support- Retek( V10)

Key Responsibilities

Functional Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2/Level 3 production support for Oracle Retail V10 applications.
• Understand and support retail business processes including:
• Item management
• Merchandising
• Inventory management
• Purchase orders
• Transfers
• Sales and returns
• Pricing and promotions
• Stock adjustments
• Supplier management
• Analyze functional issues and determine root cause.
• Work closely with business users to understand requirements and resolve application issues.
• Perform impact analysis for production defects and change requests.
• Prepare functional specifications, test scenarios, and support documentation.
• Coordinate with business, technical, and offshore/onshore support teams.

Technical Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot Oracle Retail V10 application issues across application and database layers.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle Retail Merchandising System (RMS) and related Oracle Retail modules.
• Work with Oracle databases and write/debug SQL and PL/SQL queries.
• Analyze application logs, batch failures, interfaces, and database errors.
• Troubleshoot batch processes and scheduled jobs.
• Analyze and resolve integration/interface failures between Oracle Retail and external systems.
• Support file-based and service-based integrations as applicable.
• Perform data analysis and data fixes following appropriate production-change procedures.
• Develop SQL scripts, stored procedures, and other technical solutions for support requirements.
• Participate in root-cause analysis and permanent-fix implementation.
• Support application deployments, releases, patches, and regression testing.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong experience with Oracle Retail V10.
• Hands-on experience with RMS (Retail Merchandising System).
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills.
• Knowledge of Oracle Database.
• Experience troubleshooting Oracle Retail batch processes.
• Knowledge of Oracle Retail data model and key database tables.
• Experience with Unix/Linux commands and shell scripting.
• Understanding of interfaces and integrations.
• Experience with incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Knowledge of ITIL-based production support processes.
