Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Oracle PL/SQL Developer with 3–4 years of hands-on experience in Oracle SQL/PLSQL, data migration, application development, and technical support. The candidate will be responsible for database development, data migration activities, production support, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues in coordination with functional and application teams.

Key Responsibilities

Oracle PL/SQL Development

• Develop, enhance, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and SQL queries.
• Develop SQL scripts for data extraction, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
• Analyze requirements and implement database-level solutions.
• Troubleshoot and optimize SQL/PLSQL queries and database processes.
• Perform code debugging, testing, and deployment activities.

Data Migration

• Perform data migration, transformation, and data loading activities between source and target systems.
• Analyze source data and prepare data mapping and transformation logic.
• Develop scripts for data cleansing, validation, and reconciliation.
• Perform data validation and identify missing, duplicate, inconsistent, or incorrect data.
• Support migration activities across Development, Staging, Validation, and Production environments.
• Prepare migration scripts and supporting technical documentation.

Technical Support

• Provide L2/L3 technical support for application and database-related issues.
• Analyze and troubleshoot production issues using SQL/PLSQL and database logs.
• Investigate reported issues, identify root causes, and implement appropriate fixes.
• Support incident, problem, and change-management activities.
• Work closely with functional, application, infrastructure, and client-facing teams to resolve technical issues.
• Monitor and respond to support tickets within defined timelines/SLA.
• Perform data corrections and database fixes based on approved requirements.
• Support application releases, patches, configuration changes, and production deployments.
• Document troubleshooting steps, root-cause analysis, and resolutions for recurring issues.
• Participate in application maintenance and continuous improvement activities.

Required Technical Skills

• 3–4 years of hands-on experience in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.

• Ability to analyze large datasets and write optimized SQL queries.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with XML, CSV, or Excel-based data migration.
• Knowledge of ETL concepts and migration methodologies.
• Experience with Linux/Unix shell scripting.
• Experience with job scheduling tools such as Control-M.
• Experience working with application support/ticketing systems.
• Exposure to Agile and project-based development environments.
• Experience in enterprise application implementation and support projects.

Good to Have – Pharmacovigilance / Safety Systems

• Experience working with Pharmacovigilance, Life Sciences, or Safety Systems.
• Knowledge of Oracle Argus Safety or similar safety databases.
• Understanding of E2B XML / ICSR data and safety case data.
• Experience with migration of safety-system data and related validation/reconciliation activities.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Oracle PL/SQL development, data migration, and technical support. The candidate should be capable of independently analyzing technical issues, developing database solutions, supporting production environments, and collaborating with functional and technical teams.

Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and troubleshooting skills are required.
