Oracle NetSuite Implementation Consultant

We are looking for an experienced Senior NetSuite Functional Consultant with 5-7 years of hands-on experience delivering multi-entity, multi-currency implementations on Oracle NetSuite. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of NetSuite OneWorld subsidiaries, intercompany transactions, AR/AP/GL configuration, and integration design and will have independently managed functional workstreams across at least 2-3 full-cycle implementations.

In this role, you will be deployed on engineo's Tax Technology and E-Invoicing practice, working on compliance projects across India and international jurisdictions (KSA, Malaysia, UAE, EU). Prior tax compliance or e-invoicing experience is not required; you will be trained on mandate specifics, compliance schemas, and GSP/ASP platform integrations. What we need from day one is NetSuite depth, strong documentation skills, and the ability to work across cross-functional delivery teams.

The candidate will have responsibilities across the following functions:

NetSuite Functional Consulting (Core):

• Own end-to-end functional consulting on NetSuite engagements from requirements gathering and gap analysis through configuration, testing, and go-live support.
• Configure and consult on multi-subsidiary (OneWorld), multi-currency, and intercompany setups including subsidiary-level configurations, currency revaluation, elimination journals, and consolidated reporting.
• Design and document AR, AP, GL, and inventory flows within NetSuite, ensuring alignment with downstream integration requirements.
• Advise on NetSuite tax codes, tax schedules, nexus configurations, and SuiteScript/SuiteTalk-based integration patterns.
• Support data migration planning, master data management (MDM), and chart-of-accounts design for multi-entity environments.
• Produce functional specifications, data mapping documents, SOPs, and UAT scripts as standard deliverables on every engagement.
• Lead UAT cycles with client teams, manage defect triage, and provide functional sign-off for go-live readiness.

Project Management and Delivery Coordination:

• Manage individual project workstreams, maintain delivery trackers, status updates, RAID logs, and timeline adherence for assigned engagements.
• Coordinate across internal teams (engineering, QA, data) and external stakeholders (client SMEs, vendor teams) to drive on-time delivery.
• Participate in discovery, scoping, and estimation for new engagements.
• Prepare and present project status reports, risk summaries, and milestone updates to internal leadership and client sponsors.

Requirements:

• NetSuite OneWorld depth: Strong hands-on experience with multi-subsidiary setup, multi-currency configuration, intercompany transactions, AR/AP/GL modules, saved searches, workflows, and basic SuiteScript/SuiteTalk understanding.
• ERP implementation lifecycle: End-to-end project experience across requirements, design, configuration, data migration, integration, UAT, and go-live on at least 2-3 NetSuite implementations.
• Integration design skills: Ability to design and document integration flows via REST/SOAP APIs, SuiteTalk, SuiteScript, CSV imports, or middleware. Understanding of real-time vs. batch integration patterns.
• Documentation: Strong skills in producing functional specifications, data mapping documents, process flows, SOPs, and UAT scripts.
• Project coordination: Comfortable running delivery trackers, RAID logs, timelines, and status cadences across 2-3 parallel workstreams. Formal PM certification not required.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills; able to work directly with client finance/IT teams.

Good to Have:

• Working knowledge of Indian GST (e-invoicing, e-way bill, GSTR filings). If not present, willingness to learn is essential.
• Exposure to any tax technology or compliance platform Cleartax, SOVOS, Avalara, Vertex, or similar.
• Familiarity with Oracle ERP ecosystems beyond NetSuite (Fusion, eBS, JDE).
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum delivery practices.
• Awareness of prompt-based AI tools for documentation and analysis.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of relevant experience in NetSuite functional consulting, with a focus on multi-entity/multi-currency implementations.
• Minimum of 2 full-cycle NetSuite implementations involving OneWorld multi-subsidiary setups, particularly covering O2C, R2R, or P2P cycles.
• Experience at a NetSuite SI/implementation partner (Jade Global, Paapri, Joule, or similar) or the NetSuite consulting arm of a mid-tier firm is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience owning functional workstreams independently with minimal supervision.

Additional Requirements:

• Willingness to learn tax compliance and e-invoicing; this is a domain ramp-up role, and investment in building this knowledge is expected.
• Willingness to work across time zones when coordinating with international client teams (GCC, SEA, EU).
• Ability to work independently and own deliverables end-to-end.
• Experience working in client-facing or distributed team environments is a plus.

Key Result Area:

• NetSuite Functional Ownership: Own functional consulting on assigned NetSuite engagements configuration, integration design, UAT, and go-live. Serve as the NetSuite SME for the team.
• Multi-Entity/Currency Delivery: Design and deliver multi-subsidiary, multi-currency, and intercompany setups. Ensure configurations are robust and aligned with client requirements.
• Integration Design and Documentation: Produce functional specs, data mapping documents, SOPs, and UAT scripts. Ensure integration design is complete and developer-ready.
• Tax-Tech Domain Ramp-Up: Build working knowledge of Indian GST compliance and at least one international mandate within the first two quarters. Apply domain knowledge to active engagements.
• Project Workstream Management: Maintain delivery trackers, RAID logs, and status cadences. Coordinate across internal teams, client SMEs, and vendor teams for on-time delivery.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary functional point of contact for client finance/IT teams and internal engineering teams on assigned engagements.
• Quality and Go-Live Readiness: Drive UAT execution with client teams. Provide functional sign-off and go-live readiness assessments. Ensure zero critical gaps at deployment.
• Knowledge Building: Contribute to engineo's NetSuite and tax-tech playbooks, reusable templates, and integration blueprints. Share learnings across the practice.

KPI Target:

• NetSuite Configuration Quality: Zero critical configuration defects at go-live.
• Functional Spec and Documentation Quality: Zero major rework after client/internal review.
• UAT Defect Leakage: < 5% critical defects post-UAT sign-off.
• On-Time Delivery: > 90% of milestones delivered on or before agreed timelines.
• Domain Ramp-Up: Working knowledge of Indian GST + 1 international mandate within 6 months.
• Status Reporting: Weekly project status updates and release-specific risk summaries.
• Client Satisfaction / CSAT: > 4/5 average on post-engagement feedback.
• Knowledge Contribution: Min. 1 playbook/template contribution per quarter.
