Oracle Hyperion DBA

Position Duties/Responsibilities We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Hyperion Database Administrator with 8–10 years of experience supporting Oracle EPM/Hyperion 11.2.x environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Oracle EPM Suite administration, Essbase 21c, DRM, ODI, performance tuning, middleware administration, Oracle Database Administration, and infrastructure support across both on-premises and cloud environments, preferably Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). You will be part of a collaborative DBA team responsible for supporting both Development and Production environments, managing a broad portfolio of vendor and custom-built applications. Key Responsibilities:  Administer, maintain, and support Oracle Hyperion/EPM environments including Planning, Essbase, Financial Reporting, Shared Services, DRM, and ODI.  Install, configure, upgrade, patch, backup, restore, and troubleshoot Hyperion products and associated infrastructure.  Expertise in Hyperion Essbase, Essbase Administration Services, Hyperion Planning, Hyperion Financial Reporting, Smart View MaxL Essbase Excel Add-in, Calc scripts, Hyperion business rules, Dimension build rules, Partitioning, Data load rules and report scripts.  Support Oracle Essbase 11g/21c environments, including cube design, performance tuning, automation, and administration.  Manage Hyperion Planning applications, business rules, web forms, task lists, security groups, and user provisioning.  Administer DRM environments, including version management, hierarchy maintenance, and import/export processes.  Configure and support ODI agents, monitor ODI jobs, and troubleshoot ODI packages, variables, sequences, and Knowledge Modules.  Perform Oracle Database administration activities including installation, upgrades, patching, backup and recovery, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.  Support WebLogic Server and middleware components used by Hyperion applications.  Participate in migrations, upgrades, environment refreshes, disaster recovery testing, and production deployments.  Support SSO, SSL, and Shared Services integrations.  Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and business teams to resolve issues and deliver enhancements.  Create and maintain operational documentation, standards, and support procedures. Additional Skills  Basic SQL query writing and troubleshooting  Experience supporting application migrations and production deployments  Knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite preferred  Experience with OCI and cloud-hosted Oracle environments is highly desirable  Scripting and automation experience preferred Preferred Qualifications  Oracle certifications in Hyperion, Database, Middleware, or OCI technologies.  Experience supporting cloud migration initiatives.  Experience working in large enterprise production environments.  Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. Basic Qualifications  Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.  Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience supporting Oracle Hyperion/EPM environments. This role requires a proactive, customer-focused professional with strong technical expertise and the ability to support mission-critical Oracle EPM platforms while ensuring high availability, performance, and operational excellence.
