Oracle Hcm Functional Consultant

Role & responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements and perform fit-gap analysis.
• Design as-is and to-be business processes and conduct prototype demonstrations.
• Perform functional configuration across Oracle Fusion HCM, with Core HR as the mandatory module.
• Configure common HCM capabilities including:
• Workflow and approval rules
• Data roles and security
• Checklists
• Design Studio personalization
• Prepare functional design documents for conversions, interfaces, reports, and extensions.
• Develop functional test scenarios, test scripts, and perform functional testing.
• Support the development team by providing functional inputs and validating technical deliverables.
• Conduct client user training, demonstrations, and knowledge-transfer sessions.
• Work effectively in an onsite/offshore delivery model, coordinating with onsite leads, clients, and multiple stakeholder teams.
• Proactively provide project status updates, risks, issues, and dependencies to the Project Management team.
• Troubleshoot and provide functional solutions for P1/P2 production issues and support tickets.
• Participate in Enhancement Request (ER) discussions and act as a client-facing functional consultant.
• Develop and maintain Fast Formulas based on business requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and challenge existing processes where appropriate.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• 4+ years of experience as an Oracle Fusion HCM Functional Consultant.
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion HCM Core HR mandatory.
• Experience with multiple Oracle Fusion HCM modules in addition to Core HR.
• Minimum 2 end-to-end ERP/HCM implementations.
• Experience across the complete implementation lifecycle: requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, configuration, testing, deployment, and support.
• Hands-on experience with the latest Oracle Fusion HCM Cloud release.
• Strong experience in Fast Formulas.
• Experience working directly with clients and onsite leads.
• Strong understanding of HCM workflows, approvals, security/data roles, checklists, and personalization.
• Experience creating functional specifications/design documents for interfaces, conversions, reports, and extensions.
• Strong functional testing and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with JIRA and/or Confluence.

Good to Have

• Oracle Fusion HCM Core HR certification and/or additional HCM module certification.
• Certification in Oracle Fusion Core HR 2019/2020 or equivalent.
• Experience with ServiceNow or other incident/ticketing tools.
• Quality Assessment / Quality Check experience.
• Experience handling production support and P1/P2 incidents.
• Experience in Enhancement Request management and change discussions.
