Oracle Functional Consultant - Finance (GL & Accounting) - Job Description

Role: Oracle Functional Consultant - Finance (General Ledger & Accounting)

Experience: 5 Years

Roles & Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze business requirements related to General Ledger (GL) and financial accounting processes.
• Configure and implement Oracle Financials modules, primarily:
• General Ledger (GL)
• Accounts Payable (AP)
• Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Fixed Assets (FA)
• Cash Management (CM)
• Define and maintain:
• Chart of Accounts (COA)
• Accounting Calendars
• Ledgers
• Legal Entities
• Financial Reporting Structures
• Perform setup and configuration of accounting rules and period-end closing processes.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close activities.
• Prepare Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), Solution Design Documents (SDD), and test scripts.
• Conduct SIT, UAT, and production support activities.
• Work with technical teams for integrations, customizations, reports, and data conversions.
• Troubleshoot functional issues and provide business solutions.
• Train end users and create user documentation.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) or Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials.
• Expertise in:
• General Ledger (GL)
• Accounting Processes
• Financial Reporting
• Journal Entries
• Period Close Activities
• Consolidation
• Intercompany Accounting
• Understanding of AP, AR, Fixed Assets, and Cash Management.
• Experience in requirement gathering and solution design.
• Knowledge of SQL is an added advantage.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
