Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12 GL / Cash Management.

Functional Consultant to provide application support, troubleshoot production issues, and

Resolve incidents and service requests related to Oracle General Ledger (GL) and Cash.

Management (CM) modules. The consultant will work within an IT support organization.

ensuring application stability, timely ticket resolution, and smooth financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 functional support for Oracle EBS R12 General Ledger (GL) and

Cash Management (CM) modules.

• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents, service requests, and

recurring application issues within agreed SLAs.

• Support GL processes, including journal entries, journal imports, posting,

allocations, account combinations, reconciliations, and period-end closing.

• Troubleshoot Cash Management issues involving bank statement imports, bank

account setups, cash transactions, bank reconciliation, and reconciliation

exceptions.

• Investigate issues related to GL interfaces, subledger accounting (SLA),

accounting entries, and data integration with other Oracle financial modules.

• Perform root cause analysis (RCA), identify corrective actions, and recommend

permanent solutions for recurring incidents.

• Work closely with technical teams on SQL-based troubleshooting, interface

failures, concurrent program errors, and data-related issues.

• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing activities.
• Handle configuration changes, functional testing, change requests, and

production deployment validation.

• Maintain ticket documentation, knowledge articles, and resolution procedures

using ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Jira.

• Collaborate with finance users, business stakeholders, and technical support

teams to ensure timely issue resolution.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 58+ years of Oracle EBS R12 functional experience, with strong expertise

in General Ledger (GL) and Cash Management (CM).

• Hands-on experience supporting Oracle EBS Financials in an AMS/IT production

support environment.

• Strong understanding of GL accounting processes, bank reconciliation, financial

close, and related financial controls.

• Experience troubleshooting Oracle GL interfaces, journal imports, bank

statement loading, and reconciliation issues.

• Working knowledge of Oracle Subledger Accounting (SLA) and integrations with

AP, AR, and other financial modules.

• Ability to analyze application errors, concurrent request logs, and SQL queries

results in collaboration with technical teams.

• Familiarity with ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management

processes.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and customer-facing skills.
• Ability to independently manage support tickets, prioritize critical incidents, and

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle EBS R12.2 environments.
• Exposure to Oracle EBS integrations with banking systems and third-party

financial applications.

• Experience supporting global finance operations and business-critical period-end

activities.

• Knowledge of ServiceNow, Jira, or similar ITSM ticketing platforms.
