Job Title :- Oracle Database Administrator (L1 / L2 / L3)
Location:- Hyderabad (Work from Office) Shifts: Rotational Shifts (24*7)
Experience:
- L1 : 1–3 years – Experience in database monitoring, routine administration, backups, user management, and operational support
- L2 : 3–6 years – Experience in backup and recovery, cloning, patching, performance analysis, troubleshooting, and production support
- L3 : 7 - 10 years – Experience in performance tuning, high availability, database upgrades, migrations, security, architecture support, and mentoring junior DBAs
Job Summary :- We are looking for Oracle Database Administrators with experience ranging from junior to senior levels (L1–L3) to manage and support mission-critical Oracle database environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for database administration, monitoring, backup and recovery, performance optimization, high availability, security, and production support while ensuring reliability and business continuity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor Oracle databases, listeners, tablespaces, scheduled jobs, and alert logs to ensure database health and availability.
- Perform routine database administration activities, including user, role, and privilege management.
- Execute and validate RMAN backups and support restore and recovery operations.
- Manage archive logs, database maintenance tasks, and Data Pump export/import activities.
- Support database refreshes, cloning, patching, upgrades, and new database installations.
- Monitor and troubleshoot database performance using AWR, ASH, execution plans, and Oracle performance tools.
- Diagnose and resolve ORA- errors, locking issues, deadlocks, and other production incidents.
- Support and administer high-availability technologies such as Oracle Data Guard, ASM, and RAC.
- Implement and maintain database security features, including auditing and Transparent Data Encryption (TDE), where applicable.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and development teams during deployments, maintenance activities, and incident resolution.
- Participate in root cause analysis, capacity planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain technical documentation and follow change management and operational best practices.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Database administration (12c, 19c, 21c, or later).
- Strong knowledge of RMAN backup and recovery, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), SQL*Plus, and Data Pump.
- Experience with Oracle performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems and shell scripting.
- Knowledge of Oracle Data Guard, ASM, RAC, and database patching is preferred.
- Understanding of database security concepts, auditing, and encryption is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Oracle certifications (OCA/OCP/OCM) are desirable.
- Experience supporting 24×7 production environments and participating in on-call rotations is aplus.
- Exposure to automation and scripting (Shell, Python, or Ansible) is an added advantage.
