Oracle Database Administrator

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, and maintain Oracle Database environments.
• Perform database upgrades, migrations, patching, cloning, and refresh activities.
• Monitor database health, availability, capacity, and performance.
• Perform performance tuning, including SQL tuning, query optimization, execution plan analysis, and database parameter tuning.
• Manage database backup and recovery using Oracle RMAN.
• Handle database failures, recovery scenarios, and production incidents.
• Work with Oracle RAC and Data Guard environments for high availability and disaster recovery.
• Manage tablespaces, datafiles, schemas, users, roles, privileges, and database security.
• Troubleshoot database connectivity, locking, blocking, space, and performance-related issues.
• Perform database cloning and refresh activities across development, test, UAT, and production environments.
• Support production databases in a 24x7 environment and participate in on-call support as required.
• Perform root cause analysis for critical database incidents and implement preventive measures.
• Coordinate with application, infrastructure, storage, Unix/Linux, and other support teams.
• Maintain database documentation, SOPs, operational procedures, and technical records.
