What we are looking for:

We are looking for Oracle Customer Care and Billing (CC&B) Developer who will be responsible for the design, development, and maintaining, and supporting the Oracle Customer Care & Billing (CC&B) applications to ensure reliable utility business operations. Who develops new functionality, enhances existing solutions, resolves production issues, and supports system integrations while ensuring adherence to development standards and best practices. In addition to application development responsibilities, the position provides scheduled after-hours monitoring and support of overnight batch processing, ensuring critical billing, financial, and customer processing jobs complete successfully and production issues are promptly identified and resolved.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain the Oracle Customer Care and Billing (CC&B) applications, customizations, algorithms, business objects, scripts, and services to support business requirements .
• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable, maintainable, and supportable technical solutions.
• Develop, test, debug, and deploy CC&B enhancements, interfaces, reports, and integrations using Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF), Java, SQL, PL/SQL, and web services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, production incidents, and system performance issues while meeting established service level objectives.
• Follow established software development lifecycle (SDLC), change management, security, and documentation standards.
• Support application upgrades, patches, and environment migrations, including regression testing and deployment activities.
• Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, QA analysts, infrastructure teams, and vendors to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
• Monitor nightly production batch processing to ensure scheduled jobs execute successfully and within expected processing windows.
• Investigate batch failures, identify root causes, restart or recover failed processes when appropriate, and escalate issues following established operational procedures.
• Monitor production system health, application logs, database jobs, middleware components, and scheduler alerts to proactively identify potential issues.
• Coordinate with infrastructure, database, middleware, and business support teams during production incidents to minimize customer and operational impact.
• Document production incidents, resolutions, operational procedures, and knowledge articles to improve operational efficiency and reduce recurring issues.
• Continuously identify opportunities to automate operational processes, improve batch reliability, enhance monitoring capabilities, and optimize application performance.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Oracle CC&B releases, features, and best practices.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Oracle Utilities Customer Care & Billing (CC&B) and Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF).
• Solid experience with recent versions of CC&B and related Oracle Utilities Solutions (C2M, CCS)
• Strong proficiency in design and development of Oracle CC&B Customizations: Batch, Algorithms, Change Handlers, UI Maps, Scripts, Business Objects, Business Services, and Inbound Web Services.
• Strong proficiency in Java programming, SQL, and PL/SQL.
• Working knowledge of Oracle WebLogic Server and Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Experience with production job schedulers such as Tidal, Redwood, Control-M, Autosys, or similar enterprise scheduling platforms.
• Understanding of batch processing, production monitoring, application logging, troubleshooting methodologies, and incident management.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git, SVN), CI/CD processes, and Agile software development methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 3 years of Oracle CC&B development experience.
• Experience supporting mission-critical systems in a 24x7 operational environment is preferred.
