Optometrist

Role Description The Optometrist will provide comprehensive eye examinations and vision assessments for employees and visitors at the Vadodara site in an on-site, contract role. Responsibilities include conducting routine and specialized visual tests, prescribing corrective lenses, identifying ocular health issues, and referring individuals to ophthalmologists or other specialists when necessary. The Optometrist will maintain accurate clinical records, ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines, and support workplace wellness initiatives related to eye care. The role also involves educating individuals on eye health, proper use of visual aids, and ergonomics for screen and industrial work environments, in coordination with the company's occupational health and safety teams.

• Ability to prescribe and manage corrective lenses, contact lenses, and basic low-vision aids.
• Knowledge of ocular pathology, screening for conditions such as glaucoma, cataract, and retinal disorders, and appropriate referral practices.
• Strong patient communication and counseling skills, with a focus on education around eye health, ergonomics, and preventive care.
• Experience working in occupational health, industrial, or corporate wellness settings is an advantage.
• Degree/Diploma in Optometry from a recognized institution; valid registration or license with the appropriate professional council or regulatory body.
• Ability to work on-site in North East, India, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and maintain meticulous clinical documentation.
• Familiarity with basic diagnostic equipment (e.g., autorefractor, slit lamp, tonometer) and digital record-keeping systems.
