Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Optometrist role based in Mumbai. The Optometrist will conduct comprehensive eye examinations, including testing visual acuity, evaluating refractive errors, and assessing ocular health using diagnostic equipment. The role involves prescribing and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses, advising on vision care and eye health, and identifying conditions that require referral to ophthalmologists or other specialists. The Optometrist will maintain accurate patient records, follow clinical standards and safety protocols, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to support education-related initiatives and wellness programs. The position also includes providing clear, empathetic patient communication, educating individuals about preventive eye care, and participating in continuous professional development.

Qualifications

• Clinical expertise in conducting eye examinations, diagnosing common visual disorders, and prescribing corrective lenses.
• Proficiency in using optometric instruments and diagnostic tools such as autorefractors, slit lamps, retinoscopes, and tonometers.
• Strong patient-care skills, including clear communication, counseling on eye health, and a high level of professionalism and empathy.
• Ability to maintain detailed clinical documentation and adhere to regulatory, ethical, and safety standards in healthcare settings.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Optometry from a recognized institution; valid registration or license as per applicable regulatory requirements.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and capability to work independently in a fast-paced, education-focused environment.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training, stay updated on advances in optometry, and support organizational health and wellness initiatives.
