Company Description Lenskart is a technology-driven eyewear company focused on improving access to affordable, high-quality vision solutions for people across diverse communities. Founded in India as an online business in 2010, Lenskart expanded into offline retail with its first store in New Delhi in 2013. Responsibilities include conducting refractions, assessing visual acuity, recommending appropriate lenses or frames, and guiding customers on contact lens use and eye care best practices. The Optometrist will maintain accurate clinical records, ensure adherence to professional and safety standards, and support store teams in delivering a high-quality customer experience. The role also involves educating customers on eye health, collaborating with sales staff to ensure correct prescriptions are dispensed, and using diagnostic equipment and digital tools as part of daily practice. The Optometrist is expected to contribute to a welcoming environment, support operational efficiency, and participate in ongoing training and updates on clinical and product developments.
    Qualifications

    • Demonstrated proficiency in conducting eye examinations, refractions, and contact lens fittings using standard diagnostic instruments and tools.

    • Ability to work collaboratively with retail and operations teams, manage time effectively, and maintain accurate, detailed clinical documentation.
    • Comfort with using digital systems and point-of-sale or practice management software; willingness to learn new technology-enabled workflows.
    • Attention to detail, adherence to hygiene and safety protocols, and commitment to ethical, patient-centered care.
    • Prior experience in a retail eye care or optical setting is an advantage; familiarity with lenses, frames, and eyewear products is beneficial.
    • Flexibility to work store operating hours, including weekends or holidays as required, and openness to ongoing professional development.
