Role & responsibilities

• Explain the patient's eye condition and proposed treatment/procedure in simple language.
• Counsel patients regarding surgeries, investigations, treatment plans, and follow-up requirements.
• Address patient and attendant concerns and provide appropriate information.
• Explain expected outcomes, precautions, and post-treatment care.
• Conduct visual acuity, refraction, subjective/objective refraction, and other routine optometric tests.
• Perform preliminary screening for common ocular conditions.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.Optom / Bachelor of Optometry freshers are required.
