Position: Phaco Surgeon / Consultant Ophthalmologist
Department: Ophthalmology
Qualification: MBBS + MS/MD/DNB Ophthalmology
Experience: Fresher / Experienced candidates (as per hospital requirements)

Job Responsibilities

• Perform phacoemulsification (Phaco) cataract surgeries independently.
• Evaluate patients for cataract surgery and assess surgical suitability.
• Conduct pre-operative and post-operative examinations and patient counselling.
• Manage routine cataract cases and handle post-operative complications.
• Maintain accurate patient records and surgical documentation.
• Coordinate with optometrists, OT staff, and other healthcare professionals.
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain patient safety standards.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience in phacoemulsification surgery.
• Good clinical and surgical skills in ophthalmology.
• Ability to manage cataract patients independently.
• Strong communication and patient counselling skills.
• Valid medical registration with the relevant medical council.

Preferred Candidate

• Candidates with independent phaco surgery experience.
• Good surgical outcomes and patient management skills.
• Immediate joiners preferred, if applicable.
