Operations Manager

The Role

This is a hands-on management position combining operations, people leadership, hospitality, financial oversight and business development.

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Overseeing the smooth daily functioning and standards of our Ashrams and retreat centres.
• Leading, mentoring and coordinating operational teams.
• Maintaining excellent hospitality, cleanliness, hygiene and guest experience standards.
• Overseeing bookings, occupancy and forward operational planning.
• Developing partnerships and opportunities to strengthen future occupancy and organisational reach.
• Overseeing financial administration and accounting processes with support from accountants and administrative staff.
• Ensuring facilities, maintenance and operational systems are well managed.
• Providing clear reporting and maintaining strong communication with Senior Management.
• Representing AKHANDA professionally with guests, partners and external stakeholders.

• Can lead people with warmth, fairness and appropriate firmness.
• Has excellent spoken and written English.
• Is comfortable with technology, reporting and basic financial administration.
• Can identify problems, organise resources and find practical solutions.
• Has confidence developing professional relationships and partnerships.
• Is comfortable working with both Indian and international guests and teams.
• Is willing to travel between locations and be actively present in operations.
• Holds a valid driving licence and is comfortable driving when required.
• Respects Yoga, Ashram culture and a diverse international community.
• Previous management experience in hospitality, resorts, retreats, Ashrams, residential education, wellness or multi-site operations would be highly valued.
