Operations Manager, Construction (Mechanized Plastering)

About us:

Aakhani Solutions is a Mumbai-based company specializing in mechanized spray plaster application for large construction projects. We work with leading construction and infrastructure companies across Maharashtra and other states, and we are growing. We are looking for an Operations Manager to run day-to-day site operations and keep our projects on time, on budget and profitable.

Role Overview

You will be the single point of responsibility for our project operations. You will manage site supervisors, plan manpower for incoming orders, handle client-side site relationships, and make sure billing and collections stay on schedule. You will work closely with our sales and machine operations teams, but you will not be responsible for lead generation or machine maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and guide site supervisors, and plan day-to-day work across multiple project sites
• Coordinate with the machine operations team to resolve equipment issues quickly and follow up until closure
• Work with the sales team to understand upcoming orders, their timing and scale, and plan manpower accordingly
• Source and onboard application teams, and decide applicable wages and labour rates
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with client project managers, site managers, and accounts and billing staff
• Ensure site supervisors submit measurements and bills on time, and keep billing cycles up to date
• Personally step in to resolve site issues that supervisors cannot handle
• Track site-level cost and profitability, and keep management informed of key developments
• Ensure quality, safety and timely completion on all sites

Candidate Profile

Mandatory:

• 5 to 8 years in construction site execution or operations only, with a contractor, sub-contractor or project execution company
• Has independently managed at least one site or team
• Hands-on experience managing site supervisors and labour or contractor teams
• Working knowledge of measurements, running bills (RA bills) and the billing cycle
• Experience dealing with client project managers and billing or accounts staff
• Willingness to travel to sites as needed
• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or a related field

Good to have:

• Experience in finishing works (plaster, putty, waterproofing, tiling or gypsum)
• Experience with large EPC or infrastructure clients
• Experience sourcing and managing labour teams across locations

You do not need prior experience with spray plaster machines. Full training on our process will be provided.
