    About this role

    ABOUT THE ROLE

Value Research is seeking an Operations Analyst to support the day-to-day running of our investment platform operations. The role sits at the centre of investor onboarding, transaction processing and post-trade servicing, working across the BSE platform, internal admin systems and external partners including AMCs, RTAs, CVL and Digio. This is a hands-on, detail-intensive role suited to a candidate early in their career who works accurately within defined turnaround times, enjoys structured daily workflows, and is keen to build long-term expertise in investment and financial services operations.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Investor Servicing: Resolve investor queries logged through the ticketing system, covering onboarding, transactions, folio details, nominee updates, contact and bank detail changes, and general mutual fund servicing.
    • Onboarding and Account Activation: Track UCC failures through email alerts and admin panel reports, identify the reason for rejection, take corrective action and activate accounts. Review rejected AOF submissions and re-upload the same day.
    • KYC and CKYC: Monitor KYC status with CVL and KRA, follow up on rejected and pending cases, and verify and approve CKYC documentation.
    • Bank Verification and TPV: Verify bank proofs where validation fails, follow up with investors for missing documentation, and track TPV-pending orders through to release.
    • Mandates and SIP: Track mandate linking failures and rejections, raise corrective tasks with the technology team, and escalate incorrect rejections to BSE.
    • Transaction Monitoring: Verify payment status across internal systems and BSE, track rejected orders through to resolution, and ensure pending Portfolio Planner orders are triggered on time.
    • Reconciliation: Carry out periodic reconciliation of SIP, UCC and mandate data between internal systems and BSE, investigating and resolving mismatches.
    • Error Handling: Action daily error mails relating to KYC failure, UCC pending status, bank validation and transaction failure, and update investors and internal records accordingly.
    • Stakeholder Coordination: Follow up with BSE, CVL, Digio, AMCs, RTAs and internal technology teams until closure, logging all operational issues as trackable tasks.
    • MIS and Reporting: Maintain operations tracking sheets and prepare periodic MIS on subscriptions and orders using data from internal dashboards and reporting tools.
    • Process and Testing Support: Support user acceptance and live testing following platform changes, assist with the implementation of regulatory updates, and support vendor invoice verification.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Graduate in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related discipline.
    • 0 - 3 years of experience in operations, preferably within mutual fund distribution, wealth management, BFSI back-office or fintech.
    • Candidates from a fresher background with strong analytical aptitude will be considered.
    • Working knowledge of MS Excel or Google Sheets, including formulas, lookups and data reconciliation.
    • Clear written and verbal communication in English.

    TECHNICAL SKILLS

    • Data handling and reconciliation across large datasets using spreadsheet formulas, lookups and pivot tables.
    • Familiarity with, or the ability to quickly learn, the BSE platform, internal admin systems and reporting dashboards.
    • Exposure to KYC, CKYC and KRA portals, and to e-signature platforms such as Digio.
    • Comfort working with ticketing and task management tools for issue logging and tracking.

    CORE COMPETENCIES

    • Accuracy and attention to detail across high-volume, repetitive daily workflows.
    • Ownership and follow-through, including persistent follow-up with external partners until closure.
    • Structured problem solving, with the ability to identify the root cause of recurring failures.
    • Effective time management against daily and weekly turnaround commitments.
    • Professional handling of confidential investor information and adherence to defined processes.

    PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • Prior exposure to BSE, RTA or AMC operational platforms.
    • Understanding of the SEBI and AMFI regulatory framework relevant to investment advisory operations.
    • NISM or AMFI certification, or willingness to obtain it.
    • Interest in process automation, including identifying manual tasks that can be improved through dashboards, rule-based workflows or system integration.
