Operational Risk Analyst

Role & responsibilities

1. ORM Framework

• Administer and utilize specialized ORM tools to automate risk tracking, control testing, and reporting
• Collect and analyze internal/external operational loss data to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Perform scenario analysis to assess the impact of low-frequency, high-severity events on lending operations.

2. Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM)

• Evaluate the operational resilience of third-party partners (Sourcing agents, Tech providers, Recovery agents).
• Assess risks associated with outsourcing arrangements, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal risk appetite.
• Conduct periodic reviews of vendor performance and control environments to mitigate concentration and systemic risks.

3. Branch Risk Review & Field Audits

• Conduct periodic risk reviews of physical branches to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) for sourcing and collections.
• Validate the physical and digital security of loan documentation and sensitive customer data at the branch level.
• Identify localized risk trends and work with Branch Managers to implement corrective action plans.

4. RCSA & KRI Monitoring

• Execute the RCSA process for sourcing, credit assessment, and disbursement, tailor methodologies for SME and Retail products.
• Define and monitor KRIs (e.g., First Payment Defaults, documentation exceptions, turnover in critical roles).
• Translate complex risk data into actionable insights for senior management via dashboards.
