Operation Theatre Technician

Role & responsibilities

• Assist surgeons and the OT team during surgical procedures by preparing and maintaining the operation theatre.
• Ensure all surgical instruments, equipment, consumables, and OT supplies are available and properly sterilized before procedures.
• Follow strict infection-control, aseptic, and sterilization protocols at all times.
• Handle OT equipment safely and report any malfunction or maintenance requirement promptly.
• Assist with patient preparation, positioning, shifting, and maintaining OT safety standards.
• Maintain proper documentation, instrument counts, stock records, and post-operative OT cleaning and turnover.
