Role & responsibilities

Role Philosophy

This is a solution-provider role, not a keyword-driven profile.

Candidates are expected to understand the 'why' behind on-premises infrastructure, OpenShift VM management, and virtualization decisions.

The ideal SRE demonstrates a solution-first mindset and end-to-end ownership.

Core Responsibilities

Design, operate, and support OpenShift platforms running on bare metal infrastructure.

Own OpenShift Virtualization (KubeVirt) based VM workloads, including lifecycle management.

Ensure platform reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.

Act as a technical consultant, providing architectural guidance and solution design.

Collaborate with application, platform, and infrastructure teams to deliver resilient solutions.

Core Competencies

Deep knowledge of OpenShift architecture and Operator lifecycle management.

Strong understanding of application deployment patterns on OpenShift.

Hands-on experience with OpenShift Virtualization (KubeVirt) and bare metal environments.

Strong problem-solving ability in complex, on-premises environments.

Leadership & Behavioral Qualities

Demonstrates ownership and accountability for platform outcomes.

Able to navigate ambiguity and complex enterprise environments.

Acts as a trusted technical advisor and solution consultant.

Tools & Technologies (Secondary)

Experience with Ansible, GoLang, or similar tools is beneficial but not mandatory.
