Location: Raman Research Institute, Sadashivanagar, Bengaluru

Job Summary:
Responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of computers, laptops, printers, scanners, and AV systems across Windows, Linux, and macOS environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot operating systems, hardware, peripherals, and applications.
• Set up new desktops, workstations, and laptops, including networking, software, partitioning, and asset tagging.
• Troubleshoot hardware, OS, application, and network-related issues and coordinate replacement of faulty components.
• Manage user accounts, file permissions, file sharing, IP configuration, and network connectivity.
• Install and maintain software, drivers, compilers, libraries, antivirus, and security updates.
• Configure firewalls and security policies and ensure systems are protected from unauthorized access and vulnerabilities.
• Perform periodic system health checks, virus/malware scans, disk maintenance, and performance monitoring.
• Monitor system event logs and resolve identified issues.
• Maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting procedures, and support records.
• Provide day-to-day technical support to RRI users and ensure availability and smooth functioning of IT assets.
