Role & responsibilities
- Assess patients preoperatively and evaluate their fitness for anaesthesia.
- Administer and manage anaesthesia during surgical procedures.
- Monitor patients vital signs throughout surgery and ensure patient safety.
- Manage airway, ventilation, and haemodynamic stability during procedures.
- Provide post-anaesthesia care and monitor patients during recovery.
- Handle anaesthesia-related emergencies and provide critical care support when required.
- Coordinate with surgeons, OT staff, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure proper functioning and availability of anaesthesia equipment and emergency drugs.
- Maintain accurate anaesthesia records and patient documentation.
- Follow hospital protocols, infection control practices, and patient safety standards.
