OPD Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Outpatient Department (OPD), ensuring smooth patient flow and efficient service delivery.
• Manage patient registration, appointment scheduling, billing coordination, and consultant schedules to optimize operational efficiency.
• Supervise the OPD, front office, and patient services teams, ensuring adherence to hospital policies and high standards of customer service.
• Coordinate with consultants, nursing, diagnostics, pharmacy, and other departments to ensure seamless patient care and interdepartmental collaboration.
• Monitor patient waiting times, resolve service-related issues and complaints, and implement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and experience.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), NABH standards, infection control protocols, and statutory regulations.
• Prepare and analyze OPD performance reports, patient footfall statistics, revenue data, and other operational MIS to support decision-making.
• Conduct regular audits, identify process improvement opportunities, and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
• Plan manpower deployment, manage staff schedules, monitor performance, and organize training programs to improve team productivity and service excellence.
• Maintain accurate documentation, ensure confidentiality of patient information, and support hospital management in achieving departmental goals and quality objectives.
