Online Python Mentor- US Shift Timing

Codeyoung aims to make coding accessible and enjoyable for young learners, helping them build confidence and core computational thinking skills.

Role Description This is a part-time, remote role for an Online Python Mentor working in US shift timings(2:30AM-6:30AM). The mentor will conduct live online classes for school-age learners, guiding them through Python concepts, coding exercises, and projects. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans aligned with Codeyoung's curriculum, explaining concepts in an age-appropriate manner, and offering personalized feedback. The mentor will monitor student progress, address questions during and after sessions, and maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment. Additional tasks may include updating student records, coordinating with internal teams on curriculum improvements, and participating in training or quality reviews as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong Python programming skills and ability to explain core concepts (variables, loops, functions, data structures) clearly to young learners.
• Experience teaching or mentoring children or teens in STEM or coding subjects, preferably in an online or virtual classroom setting.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to keep sessions interactive, engaging, and student-focused.
• Comfort with online teaching tools and learning platforms, including video conferencing, screen sharing, and collaborative coding environments.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to support learners of varying skill levels while maintaining a respectful, inclusive atmosphere.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection, appropriate hardware for remote teaching, and availability to work US shift timings.
• Relevant educational background in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred; certifications in programming or teaching are a plus.
