OIPA Configuration Analyst

We are hiring for the OIPA Configuration Analyst.

Job Summary:

The OIPA Configuration Analyst is responsible for translating insurance product requirements into system configurations within OIPA. The role combines functional insurance knowledge with technical configuration expertise, enabling delivery of scalable, maintainable, and compliant insurance solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. OIPA Configuration

• Configure core OIPA components including Plans, Transactions, Rules, Funds, Segments, and Activities
• Develop and maintain rule logic using XML-based configuration
• Implement product features such as Term Life, ULIP, Endowment, Whole Life, and Annuities
• Ensure adherence to defined configuration standards and governance frameworks

2. Requirements Analysis

• Analyze business requirements and convert them into functional configurations
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and SMEs to clarify product logic
• Participate in requirement workshops, solution design sessions, and walkthroughs

3. Integration Support

• Work with integration teams for data exchange with external systems (CRM, Billing, Claims, DMS)
• Support implementation of APIs, batch processes, and event-based integrations
• Ensure data consistency and integrity across systems

4. Testing & Defect Management

• Perform unit testing for configured components
• Support SIT and UAT cycles
• Investigate defects, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions

5.Documentation & Governance

• Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, rules, and assumptions
• Ensure traceability between requirements, configuration, and testing artifacts
• Support audit and compliance requirements

Required Skills:

1. Functional Skills

• Strong understanding of life insurance domain
• Policy lifecycle (New Business, Servicing, Claims)
• Product types (Term, ULIP, Annuities, Endowment)
• Knowledge of underwriting, billing, and fund management processes

2. Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience with OIPA configuration
• Proficiency in XML and rule-based configuration frameworks
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Understanding of integration technologies (REST/SOAP APIs, batch processing)

3. Analytical Skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical capability
• Ability to interpret complex business rules and translate into system logic

4. Communication Skills

• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
• Capability to conduct walkthroughs and explain configurations clearly

Location: Bengaluru, India

Experience: 3 7 years
