Officer-Paint Shop

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control day-to-day paint shop operations to achieve production targets.
• Ensure proper surface preparation, powder coating, liquid painting, and clear coating processes.
• Monitor paint quality parameters including film thickness, adhesion, gloss, color matching, and finish quality.
• Troubleshoot painting defects such as orange peel, blistering, pinholes, runs, and shade variation.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, quality standards, and customer specifications.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams for smooth operations.
• Optimize paint consumption and reduce material wastage.
• Monitor paint booth parameters, curing oven temperatures, and line efficiency.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintain paint shop equipment.
• Ensure preventive maintenance of paint shop machinery and utilities.
• Implement 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and pollution control standards.
• Maintain daily production, rejection, and paint consumption reports.
• Train and guide operators on painting processes and quality requirements.
• Drive productivity improvement and cost reduction initiatives.

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of Powder Coating, Liquid Painting, Pretreatment, and Curing Processes.
• Understanding of paint quality standards and defect analysis.
• Experience in Alloy Wheel or Automotive Component Painting.
• Familiarity with TPM, 5S, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing.
• Knowledge of ERP/SAP and production reporting systems.
• Strong problem-solving and team management skills.
