Observability Engineer

Key responsibilities:

1. Grafana and Prometheus Administration - Configure, maintain, and scale Grafana and Prometheus instances.
2. Develop and implement custom dashboards for monitoring key metrics.
3. Troubleshoot issues, ensure data accuracy, and optimize query performance.
4. Monitoring and Alerting:
5. Design and manage alerting rules for proactive issue identification and resolution.
6. Continuously improve and expand monitoring coverage to meet evolving needs.
7. Collaborate with teams to define alert thresholds and escalation procedures.
8. Data Analysis and Visualization:
9. Analyze metrics data to identify performance bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
10. Create meaningful visualizations and reports to provide insights for stakeholders.
11. Contribute to the enhancement of data retention and archiving strategies.
12. Scaling and Optimization:
13. Collaborate with the infrastructure team to ensure seamless integration and scalability of Grafana and Prometheus.
14. Fine-tune configurations to achieve optimal resource utilization and performance.
15. Proven experience as an L3 Engineer specializing in Grafana and Prometheus administration.
16. Proficiency in creating custom Grafana dashboards and queries.
17. Strong understanding of monitoring best practices, alerting, and data analysis.
18. Knowledge of time-series databases and storage strategies.
