Observability Automation Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and scale more than 1,000 New Relic artifacts through automation.
• Build and support production-quality Python automation and Terraform-based deployment workflows.
• Develop and maintain New Relic dashboards, NRQL, alert policies, conditions, notification workflows, and related APIs/NerdGraph integrations.
• Own initial intake triage, clarify requests, track tickets, set expectations, and route work to the appropriate technical owners.
• Reduce alert noise, configuration drift, duplicate or stale assets, and unowned monitoring content.
• Partner with application, cloud, security, infrastructure, and platform teams on telemetry, ownership, severity, routing, and service-level indicators.
• Use Git-based pull requests and controlled promotion practices for observability configuration.

Requirements:

• Key Skills: New Relic, Python, Terraform, AWS, automation of 1,000+ artifacts, and intake triage are core. Grafana/LGTM is a future-stage capability.
