NX Customization Specialist (NX open)

Key Responsibilities

• NX API Development & Automation: Develop custom applications, plugins, macros, and standalone tools using NX Open APIs (C++, C#, VB.NET, or Python), UFUNC, Knowledge Fusion, and NX GRIP.
• UI & Environment Customization: Configure and customize the NX environment, including menus, ribbon bars, Quick Access Toolbars, user roles, seed parts, templates, and reuse libraries.
• Design Automation: Build rule-based automation scripts for part creation, parametric modeling, assembly generation, and automated 2D/3D drawing production.
• Validation & Standards: Implement and configure NX Checkmate validations and corporate design rules to ensure compliance.
• PLM / Teamcenter Integration: Support NX-Teamcenter integrations, including attribute mapping, ITK (Integration Toolkit), and SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture) developments.
• Lifecycle & Documentation: Participate in full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies, write technical and architecture specifications, and provide user training.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in CAD software customization (specifically Siemens UG NX).
• Programming Languages: Proficiency in C#, C++, VB.NET, or Java applied to the NX Open framework.
• NX Knowledge: Deep understanding of UG NX modeling, assembly structures, sheet metal design, advanced surfacing, and drafting.
