Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Nutanix Virtualization & Backup Engineer with

3+ years of experience in managing Nutanix infrastructure, virtualization platforms, backup solutions, and disaster recovery environments. The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and supporting enterprise virtualization and backup infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and administer Nutanix HCI Infrastructure including Prism Central and Prism Element.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain AHV, VMware ESXi, or Hyper-V environments.
• Monitor cluster health, performance, capacity planning, and troubleshooting.
• Perform VM provisioning, migration, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
• Configure and manage enterprise backup solutions such as Veeam Backup & Replication, Commvault, Veritas NetBackup, or Rubrik.

• Implement and monitor backup policies, retention schedules, and disaster recovery plans.

• Perform backup and restore operations for virtual machines, databases, and file systems.
• Troubleshoot backup failures and storage-related issues.
• Conduct DR drills, failover, and failback activities.
• Maintain documentation, SOPs, and infrastructure reports.
• Coordinate with storage, networking, and application teams for infrastructure support.
• Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and operational standards.

Required Skills:

• Hands-on experience with Nutanix HCI Administration.
• Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies (AHV, VMware vSphere, Hyper-V).
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions (Veeam, Commvault, Rubrik, Veritas).
• Knowledge of storage concepts, RAID, SAN, NAS, and data protection technologies.
• Experience with Windows Server and Linux administration.
• Understanding of network fundamentals including VLANs, switching, and routing.
• Knowledge of monitoring and performance tuning.
• Experience in troubleshooting virtualization and backup infrastructure issues.
