NTT DATA II Hiring - Private Credit

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Private Credit Fund Accounting professional with strong knowledge of alternative investment accounting, loan/debt investments, investor accounting, NAV preparation, reconciliations, and financial reporting.The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience supporting Private Credit / Debt funds and a sound understanding of the complete fund accounting lifecycle, including investment activity, interest and fee calculations, capital activity, valuations, and period-end reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and/or review NAV calculations for Private Credit funds and related investment structures.
• Maintain books and records for funds, including preparation and review of accounting entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Account for loan and debt investment activity, including purchases, repayments, principal movements, interest income, and related fees.
• Perform cash, position, investment, and general ledger reconciliations and investigate breaks.
• Review interest calculations, including accrued interest and other applicable income or expense calculations.
• Support accounting for capital calls, distributions, commitments, and investor capital activity.
• Perform investment valuation and fair-value/reconciliation checks, investigating differences and coordinating resolution of exceptions.
• Prepare and review partner/investor capital account statements and supporting schedules.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and closing activities.
• Assist with preparation and review of financial statements under applicable accounting standards, including US GAAP and/or IFRS.
• Coordinate with internal teams, investment teams, administrators, and other stakeholders to resolve accounting and reconciliation issues.
• Perform root-cause analysis for accounting breaks, identify recurring issues, and support appropriate corrective actions.
• Maintain supporting documentation and ensure processes are completed in accordance with applicable controls and procedures.
• Support audit requests and provide accounting schedules and supporting documentation as required.
• Contribute to process improvement, standardization, automation, and reduction of manual errors.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in Private Credit, Private Debt, Alternative Investment, or Fund Accounting.
• Strong understanding of fund accounting and NAV calculation.
• Good knowledge of loan/debt instruments and Private Credit investment accounting.
• Experience with journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, valuations, and financial reporting.
• Working knowledge of capital calls, distributions, commitments, and investor/partner capital accounting.
• Understanding of US GAAP and/or IFRS financial reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate accounting and reconciliation breaks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work within reporting deadlines.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with fund accounting platforms such as Investran, Geneva, or similar systems would be advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• MBA Finance, CA Inter, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent accounting qualification would be an advantage.

Prior experience working with a global fund administrator, asset manager, investment manager, or financial-services organization preferred.
