Npd Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• New Product Development (NPD) from concept to mass production.
• Study customer requirements, drawings and technical specifications.
• Develop 2D/3D product designs using CAD software.
• Prepare and review DFMEA, DVP&R, BOM and engineering documents.
• Coordinate with customers for design reviews and technical clarifications.
• Develop prototypes and coordinate prototype trials.
• Support Design Verification & Validation (DV/PV) activities.
• Coordinate with Tooling, Quality, Production, Purchase and Supplier teams.
• Conduct Design Reviews and implement engineering changes.
• Prepare and control ECN/ECR documentation.
• Support APQP, PPAP and SOP activities.
• Identify design-related cost-reduction opportunities.
• Ensure product design meets customer, quality and regulatory requirements.
• Support root-cause analysis for design-related issues after SOP.
• Maintain engineering drawings, specifications and revision control.

Preferred Qualification

B.E./B.Tech Mechanical / Automobile / Mechatronics

Experience

3–10 years in Automotive Product Design / NPD, preferably with OEM/Tier-1 automotive component experience.
