Purpose of the Role

To drive and ensure effective planning, execution, monitoring, and continuous improvement of quality assurance processes across the Design and Development phases of New Product Development (NPD), Upgrade, and Refresh projects for Electric Vehicles. The role is responsible for achieving product quality targets, managing quality risks, facilitating cross-functional quality improvements, and ensuring successful product launches with superior customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Quality Planning & Target Setting
  • Participate in market surveys, road trips, style clinics, and customer studies to understand customer expectations and support House of Quality (HOQ) preparation.
  • Define, agree, and deploy project quality targets, RDML targets, and corresponding achievement plans.
  • Establish quality improvement roadmaps and monitor progress throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate Focus Quality reviews and action plan implementation for TGW improvement
• Product Development Quality Assurance
  • Participate in Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) sessions and provide quality inputs to R&D on Past Product Problems (PPP).
  • Review and monitor product quality risks during vehicle development.
  • Ensure quality requirements are effectively incorporated into product design and validation plans.
  • Support design reviews and quality gate assessments at various project stages.
• Validation & Testing Management
  • Plan, monitor, and review Beta Design Verification Plan (DVP) activities.
  • Analyze validation results and ensure timely closure of identified issues through PQM.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure corrective and preventive actions are effectively implemented.
  • Track quality performance throughout development and testing phases.
• Customer Feedback & Field Quality Management
  • Participate in Customer Usage Field Trials (CUFT) and capture customer feedback.
  • Analyse CUFT observations and ensure timely closure of issues through PQM.
  • Conduct field visits to understand post-launch quality performance.
  • Monitor customer complaints, TGW, TGR, and emerging field quality concerns.
  • Analyse Initial Product Performance Failure Reports (PPFR) and initiate corrective actions.
• Quality Governance & Project Reviews
  • Complete all Design Review (DR) gate checkpoints as per project timelines.
  • Ensure compliance to quality processes and project milestones.
  • Lead quality discussions and reviews during project governance meetings.
  • Act as PQM Steering/Leader for assigned projects.

• AQI achievement as per policy targets.
• TGW achievement as per policy targets.
• TGR Appeal Score achievement.
• FQI achievement as per MPCP targets.
• Reduction in DVP and CUFT open issues.

Project Execution Metrics

• 100% adherence to DWM requirements.
• Timely completion of DR gate checkpoints.
• Adherence to project milestones and launch timelines.
