Job Description Assistant Mining Engineer

Job Summary

The Assistant Mining Engineer will support the planning, coordination, and execution of mining operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective production. The role involves mine planning, production monitoring, technical reporting, scheduling, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to achieve operational targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, scheduling, and optimizing surface and underground mining operations.
• Support daily mining activities to achieve production targets safely and efficiently.
• Prepare production schedules, mining reports, and cost estimates.
• Monitor mining performance and analyze production data to improve operational efficiency.
• Assist in mine planning and design using industry-standard mining software.
• Coordinate with Geology, Operations, Maintenance, and Environmental teams to ensure smooth mine operations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, mining regulations, health & safety, and environmental standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and operational performance.
• Prepare technical documentation and progress reports for management.
• Support the implementation of best mining practices and operational procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering.

Experience

• 1015 years of proven experience in mining operations, preferably in the gold mining industry.
• Experience in surface and underground mining operations.
