Node.js Developer

About the Role

Codes For Tomorrow is looking for an experienced Node.js Developer with 4+ years of experience who has strong expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, backend development, and API design. The ideal candidate should be capable of building scalable, secure, and high-performance backend applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js.
• Write clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable code using JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services.
• Work with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and data validation mechanisms.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues.
• Write unit tests and integration tests to ensure application reliability.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, designers, QA engineers, and other team members.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural decisions.
• Use Git and GitHub for version control and collaborative development.
• Follow coding standards, best practices, and development processes.

Required Skills

• Experience: Minimum 4+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Node.js: Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and backend application development.
• JavaScript: Excellent understanding of modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• TypeScript: Strong proficiency in TypeScript and type-safe application development.
• Frameworks: Experience with Express.js or similar Node.js frameworks.
• APIs: Strong knowledge of REST API development and integration.
• Databases: Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar databases.
• Version Control: Proficiency with Git and GitHub.
• Testing: Familiarity with unit testing, integration testing, and debugging.
• Security: Understanding of authentication, authorization, and secure coding practices.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
