Node.js Backend Developer

About the role We're hiring a Senior Integration Engineer to build and maintain connectors with identity verification, authentication, and IAM platforms. You'll own integrations end-to-end : from reading vendor API docs to shipping production code that handles PII safely and reliably.

What you'll do - Design and build Node.js integrations with third-party identity verification and authentication providers. - Implement OAuth 2.0 / OIDC / SAML / SCIM flows and webhook receivers - Handle token lifecycle, retries, rate limits, and schema drift across vendor APIs. - Build audit trails and reconciliation logic for verification events - Collaborate with product and security to ship compliant, observable integrations.

Must-have -

5+ years building production systems in

Node.js + TypeScript . - Strong grasp of

REST / HTTP : auth flows, pagination, retries with exponential backoff, idempotency, webhook signature verification (HMAC). - Hands-on with

identity protocols - OIDC, OAuth 2.0 (all grant types), SAML 2.0, SCIM 2.0. -

Microservices - Testing discipline - unit + integration tests, HTTP mocking (nock/msw).

Strong-to-have -

Secure handling of PII and secrets - KMS/Secrets Manager, redaction, no secrets or sensitive data in logs. - Defensive parsing with

Zod / io-ts or equivalent. - Experience integrating with

identity verification or IAM platforms (e.g., Okta, Auth0, Ping, Jumio, Onfido, Persona, Socure, ForgeRock, Workday, Sailpoint). -

FIDO2 / WebAuthn / passwordless auth exposure. -

Decentralized identity - W3C DIDs, Verifiable Credentials. - Familiarity with

NIST 800-63-3 (IAL/AAL), KYC/AML basics. - Background job frameworks -

BullMQ, SQS, or Kafka . - Compliance awareness -

SOC 2, GDPR, DPDP Act (India), BIPA . - Observability - structured logging, OpenTelemetry, correlation IDs. - Docker + one cloud (GCP / AWS / Azure).

Nice-to-have - Prior work on multi-tenant SaaS connectors or iPaaS platforms. - Contributions to open-source identity libraries. Candidate must be located in India.
