Role Summary

Were looking for a Node.js Developer with strong experience building, maintaining, and supporting backend applications. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with MongoDB and SQL databases, develops reliable APIs, and works effectively with product, frontend, QA, and infrastructure teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and applications using Node.js.
• Build and integrate REST APIs and, where applicable, GraphQL APIs.
• Develop database schemas, queries, indexes, and migrations for MongoDB and SQL databases.
• Optimize application and database performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Write clean, reusable, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
• Identify and resolve bugs, production issues, and performance bottlenecks.
• Implement authentication, authorization, input validation, and secure coding practices.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, QA, and DevOps teams.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests.
• Contribute to technical documentation and follow development standards.
• Support application deployment and monitoring in development, test, and production environments.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 4–13 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and JavaScript; TypeScript experience is a plus.
• Experience building backend applications and APIs.
• Practical experience with MongoDB and at least one SQL database, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
• Understanding of database design, indexing, query optimization, and transactions.
• Familiarity with asynchronous programming, error handling, and common Node.js frameworks such as Express.js or NestJS.
• Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Knowledge of testing frameworks and API testing tools.
• Understanding of application security and performance best practices.
• Good communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and container-based deployments.
• Experience with message queues, caching systems, or microservices.
• Exposure to logging, monitoring, and production support.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum teams.
