About The Role We are seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer (L2) with hands-on experience in Network Intrusion Prevention Systems (NIPS). The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing enterprise network security infrastructure while ensuring compliance with security policies, operational standards, and service level agreements. Key Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and manage NIPS security solutions in enterprise environments.
• Monitor security events and proactively identify potential threats and service disruptions.
• Perform incident management, problem management, change management, and service request activities.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve security incidents within defined SLAs.
• Analyze network traffic and perform packet capture analysis using tools such as Wireshark and PCAP.
• Configure and maintain security policies, exceptions, and access controls.
• Perform daily health checks, performance monitoring, and compliance reviews.
• Coordinate with OEM support teams for TAC cases, troubleshooting, upgrades, and issue resolution.
• Integrate security solutions with Active Directory, IAM, SIEM, and other enterprise security tools.
• Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, runbooks, network diagrams, and knowledge base articles.
• Support patch management, software upgrades, and security enhancements.
• Ensure adherence to audit, compliance, and security governance requirements.
• Prepare SLA reports and provide regular operational updates to stakeholders. Desired Candidate Profile Educational Qualification
• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Network Security.
• Hands-on experience working with NIPS solutions in enterprise environments.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of Network Security concepts and technologies.
• Experience with NIPS administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of Windows, Linux, and Unix operating systems.
• Experience with packet capture and network analysis tools.
• Understanding of networking protocols and OSI layers.
• Knowledge of incident management and security operations processes.
• Experience integrating security solutions with AD, IAM, SIEM, or related platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• McAfee NIPS certification or relevant Network Security certifications.
• Experience in Banking, BFSI, Managed Services, SOC, or Enterprise IT environments.
• Exposure to automation, scripting, SOAR platforms, and security orchestration tools.
• Knowledge of compliance, audit, and governance requirements. What We Are Looking For
