NFR Specialist- Senior Technical Lead

Key Responsibilities

• Develop Non-Functional Tests strategy.
• Non-Functional Scenarios including redundancy, availability, chaos engineering scenarios.
• Test Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and architects to understand performance requirements, objectives, and constraints. Develop a comprehensive performance test strategy and plan, including scope, test scenarios, workload models, and success criteria.
• Performance Test Design: Define detailed performance test scenarios and scripts based on the applications architecture and user behaviours. Choose appropriate performance testing tools and methodologies to achieve accurate results.
• Test Environment Setup and Test Data Management.
• Performance Test Execution: Coordinate and conduct performance tests based on the defined scenarios and scripts. Monitor the test execution and collect performance metrics like response times, throughput, resource utilization, and system errors.
• Performance Analysis and Tuning.
• Reporting and Documentation, Test Monitoring.
• Test Automation: Where applicable, automate performance test scenarios to facilitate repeated testing and integration into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
• Knowledge Sharing: Stay updated with the latest performance testing trends, tools, and best practices. Share knowledge and insights with the testing team to improve overall testing effectiveness.

Technical Skills (Must have):

• Proven experience in NFR testing and analysis for complex software systems.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or load Ninja, Web load etc.
• Develop Strategy for Nonfunctional requirements.
• Strong Experience in Automation of Non-functional requirements and end to end NFR Tests Journey.
• Setup CI/CD pipelines for NFR performance runs.
• Exposure to monitoring utilities like Grafana, Kibana, Victoria Metrics dashboards.
• Strong understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, and Agentic AI concepts and their application in Non-Functional Testing and Performance Engineering.
• Ability to build or configure AI agents/workflows for NFR testing using platforms such as n8n, LangChain/LangGraph, or equivalent orchestration frameworks.
• Strong understanding of software performance metrics and factors affecting system performance.
• Conduct throughput testing, endurance testing, concurrent testing and stress testing of the applications as required.
• Execute break point tests to measure server threshold and endurance tests to determine the presence of memory leaks.
• Compare performance testing results with benchmark and check for high CPU utilization, memory leaks and other performance degradation factors.
• Strong Experience in other NFR Types-Availability, redundancy, scalability, supportability, reliability etc.
• Strong Exposure in Chaos Engineering.
• Experience with application profiling and performance tuning techniques.
• Knowledge of various database systems Oracle, Postgres, MongoDB, MySQL etc and their impact on application performance.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging technologies related to performance optimization.
• Solid expertise in Linux and SQL DB (Oracle / MySQL)
• Understanding of AI-driven anomaly detection and intelligent performance analysis to identify response-time degradation, throughput bottlenecks, CPU/memory issues, memory leaks, DB bottlenecks, thread/connection-pool saturation, and infrastructure constraints.
• Ability to use AI for Root Cause Analysis (RCA) by correlating test results, logs, metrics, traces, infrastructure data, and historical performance.
