Network Security_ Routing & Switching | FortiGate | Blue Coat

Role & responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Network Security Engineer with strong expertise in Routing & Switching, FortiGate Firewall, and Blue Coat Proxy to work on large enterprise network implementation, deployment, and migration projects.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience across the end-to-end project lifecycle, including HLD/LLD, implementation, configuration, migration, deployment, testing, validation, and cutover.

This is a project implementation and migration role. Candidates primarily working in BAU/NOC/production support environments are not suitable for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise network infrastructure based on business and technical requirements.
• Prepare, review, and validate High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents.
• Perform hands-on Routing & Switching implementation and deployment.
• Configure and implement FortiGate Firewalls, including policies, NAT, VPN and security configurations.
• Implement and migrate Blue Coat Proxy / Secure Web Gateway solutions.
• Execute network and security migration projects, including planning, implementation, testing and cutover.
• Perform configuration changes, pre-checks, post-checks and validation during deployment.
• Troubleshoot complex L2/L3 networking issues during implementation and migration.
• Work with project, architecture, security and application teams for end-to-end implementation.
• Participate in migration/cutover activities and prepare rollback plans.
• Ensure implementation follows enterprise security and network standards.
• Prepare technical documentation, implementation plans, MOPs and rollback procedures.

Candidate Profile

The candidate should have:

• Strong hands-on Routing & Switching experience.
• Proven experience in HLD/LLD preparation or implementation based on HLD/LLD.
• Hands-on experience with both FortiGate and Blue Coat.
• Experience in enterprise implementation and migration projects.
• Experience handling implementation from design configuration deployment testing migration/cutover.
• Good communication and coordination skills with multiple technical teams.

• L1/L2 ticket-based support profiles
• Candidates with only firewall administration experience
• Candidates with only troubleshooting experience and no project implementation
• Candidates who have not worked on HLD/LLD
• Candidates with only operational experience and no migration/deployment exposure
