Role Overview

Adani Energy Solutions Limited (AESL) is seeking a Network SCADA & Automation professional to manage and maintain SCADA, Substation Automation Systems (SAS), and utility communication networks. The role will be responsible for ensuring reliable monitoring, control, and communication across transmission and substation assets while supporting automation and digitalization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

SCADA & Automation

• Operate and maintain SCADA, EMS, HMI, Historian, and Alarm Management Systems.
• Monitor network performance and ensure uninterrupted SCADA operations.
• Configure and maintain SCADA databases, graphical displays, alarms, and reports.
• Integrate new substations, feeders, and network assets into the SCADA system.
• Manage SCADA backups, redundancy, and disaster recovery mechanisms.

Substation Automation Systems (SAS)

• Maintain and troubleshoot IEC 61850-based Substation Automation Systems.
• Support testing, commissioning, and periodic maintenance of SAS infrastructure.
• Ensure proper operation of communication protocols including GOOSE and MMS.

Provide technical support for protection and automation systems across substations. Communication Network Management

• Manage utility communication infrastructure comprising:
• Optical Fiber Communication (OFC)
• Ethernet LAN/WAN Networks
• Managed Switches and Routers
• GPS Time Synchronization Systems
• Firewall and Network Security Devices
• Diagnose communication failures and implement corrective actions to restore system availability.

Troubleshooting & Projects

• Conduct fault analysis and root cause investigations for SCADA and communication network issues.
• Support commissioning and expansion projects involving automation and communication systems.
• Ensure compliance with OT cyber security standards and utility communication requirements.

Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Protection, and Project teams.
• Work closely with OEMs, vendors, and service providers for system enhancements, troubleshooting, and project execution.

Candidate Profile

• 5-8 years of experience in SCADA, Automation, Utility Communication Networks, Transmission, or Distribution businesses.
• Hands-on experience with EHV substations and substation automation systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in automation and communication systems.
• Experience in testing, commissioning, and maintenance of SCADA and SAS infrastructure.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
