Network Operations Engineer

Role & responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled DDI Network Operations Engineer to manage, maintain, and support enterprise DNS, DHCP, IP Address Management (IPAM), Domain Management, and Certificate Management services across a global environment. The role will be responsible for ensuring the availability, security, performance, and operational excellence of DDI platforms, including Infoblox, UltraDNS, CSC, and associated infrastructure. The engineer will support BAU operations, incident resolution, service requests, platform migrations, and continuous service improvements within a 24x7 operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

DNS Operations

• Manage and administer Internal DNS services hosted on Infoblox.
• Support External/Public DNS services through UltraDNS.
• Implement and maintain DNS records, zones, forwarding, delegation, and split-DNS architectures.
• Troubleshoot DNS resolution, latency, and availability issues.
• Support DNS security controls, including DNS Firewall, malicious domain detection, and threat monitoring.
• Perform DNS-related changes through approved change management processes.

DHCP Operations

• Administer global DHCP services using Infoblox.
• Manage DHCP scopes, failover associations, reservations, and lease management.
• Support DHCP migrations and helper-address modifications.
• Ensure high availability and redundancy of DHCP infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot DHCP allocation and connectivity issues.

IPAM Operations

• Manage enterprise IP address allocation and subnet planning.
• Maintain IPAM as the source of truth for network addressing.
• Support network segmentation requirements for corporate, guest, vendor, voice, and management networks.
• Perform IP conflict resolution and capacity management.
• Assist with cloud network integration and AWS-hosted Infoblox migrations.

Domain & Certificate Management

• Manage domain registrations, renewals, and ownership records through CSC.
• Support SSL/TLS certificate lifecycle activities including issuance, renewal, and replacement.
• Monitor certificate expiration and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
• Coordinate with application and infrastructure teams for certificate deployments.

Operations & Service Management

• Monitor operational dashboards and alerts.
• Review incidents, requests, change records, and service tasks daily.
• Resolve tickets within SLA commitments.
• Participate in shift handovers and operational reviews.
• Support Incident, Request, Problem, and Change Management processes through ServiceNow.
• Participate in major incident bridges and restoration activities for critical outages.

Security & Compliance

• Support DNS security monitoring and threat visibility initiatives.
• Ensure logs are forwarded to enterprise SIEM platforms.
• Adhere to access management, PAM, MFA, and Zero Trust security controls.
• Maintain compliance with organizational governance and operational standards.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong experience with Infoblox DNS, DHCP, and IPAM administration.
• Hands-on experience with UltraDNS or Public DNS
• Experience with CSC Domain Manager and Certificate Manager.
• Knowledge of DNS architecture, split-DNS, DNS forwarding, delegation, and DNS security.
• Understanding of DHCP failover and high-availability designs.
• Experience with ServiceNow ITSM processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in DDI Administration.
• Experience supporting global enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
