Role Description The Network Infrastructure & Smart Systems Engineer will design, deploy, and maintain wired and wireless networks that support RiVa Smart’s home and commercial automation solutions. This full-time, on-site role in Bengaluru involves configuring routers, switches, access points, and gateways; integrating devices using Matter, Zigbee, Thread, and Wi-Fi; and ensuring stable, secure connectivity across installations. The engineer will work closely with product, installation, and support teams to plan system architectures, perform site surveys, troubleshoot network and device issues, and optimize performance for comfort, security, and energy efficiency. Daily responsibilities also include documenting network configurations, monitoring systems, coordinating with vendors and partners, and supporting continuous improvement of deployment standards and best practices.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong networking skills, including experience with IP addressing, routing and switching, VLANs, firewalls, and Wi-Fi design and optimization.
- Candidates should possess skills in smart home and IoT systems, such as familiarity with Matter, Zigbee, Thread, Wi-Fi device integration, and home automation controllers or hubs.
- Candidates should possess skills in system deployment and troubleshooting, including on-site installation, diagnostic tools usage, and root-cause analysis for connectivity and device issues.
- Candidates should possess skills in infrastructure planning and documentation, including creating network diagrams, installation reports, and maintaining configuration records.
- Candidates should possess communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams and engage clearly with customers when needed.
- Relevant qualifications such as a degree or diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field are beneficial; industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, Network+, or IoT-related credentials) are an advantage.
- Experience with residential or commercial automation projects, basic knowledge of security and access control systems, and an understanding of energy-efficient technologies are preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru, manage multiple projects, adapt to evolving technologies, and maintain a focus on safety, reliability, and user experience is required.
