Role & responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day backbone network-related issues and provide L1 operational support.
- Perform L1 troubleshooting for node isolation, hardware issues, logical issues, and network errors.
- Monitor network protocols including ISIS and BGP.
- Monitor and troubleshoot device isolation and related network alarms.
- Monitor fiber-related alarms in circuits and take appropriate troubleshooting actions.
- Monitor Cisco network devices including AG1, AG2, AG3, AG4, and TOR switches.
- Monitor and resolve Trouble Tickets (TTs) related to network incidents and alarms.
- Monitor fiber link-down alarms in WDM devices.
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of WDM-related issues involving Nokia devices.
- Coordinate incident handling and ensure timely resolution of assigned network issues.
- Use network monitoring and operational tools for troubleshooting, monitoring, and ticket resolution.
