Network Engineer

Location: Chennai

Salary: 2 LPA - 3.7LPA

Role & responsibilities

• Candidates from Telecom / Broadband / DTH / Fiber background preferred.
• Handle the deployment and installation of ACT Fibernet network infrastructure.
• Strong experience in Broadband / FTTH / Fiber / Wi-Fi operations.
• Visit customer locations and ensure timely completion of new broadband/fiber connections.
• Plan and execute fiber cable laying, routing, termination, and connectivity activities.
• Coordinate with field technicians and internal teams for smooth deployment.
• Check network feasibility and identify the best route for fiber connectivity.
• Ensure proper installation of network equipment, fiber cables, ONT/routers, and related materials.
• Test the connection after installation and ensure the network is working properly.
• Troubleshoot basic installation and connectivity issues during deployment.
• Complete assigned deployment activities within the given TAT and quality standards.
• Maintain proper records of installations, materials used, and completed work.
• Coordinate with customers, contractors, and internal teams for site access and deployment activities.
• Follow all company safety guidelines and technical/process standards.
• Ensure quality of work and minimize repeat complaints after deployment.

Key Skills Required:

• Basic knowledge of Fiber Optics / FTTH / Broadband networking.
• Knowledge of fiber cable laying and installation.
• Basic knowledge of ONT, Router, OLT and related network equipment.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work in the field and travel within the assigned area.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to work within TAT and meet deployment targets.
• Safety awareness and process adherence.
