Location : Bengaluru

Key Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Design & Deployment: Build and maintain scalable, reliable, and highly available Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and wireless systems.
• Hardware Configuration: Install, configure, and update network equipment, including switches, routers, proxies, and load balancers.
• Security & Compliance: Establish security protocols, configure firewalls, update virus protections, and implement disaster recovery procedures.
• Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor network performance, optimize speed, and resolve connectivity issues to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Act as the primary point of contact for resolving complex network outages and user issues.
• Documentation: Maintain up-to-date documentation of network setups, configurations, topologies, and troubleshooting guides. [3, 6]
• Security & Cloud: Familiarity with cloud networking environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and firewall vendors (Cisco, Palo Alto, F5).
• Certifications: Preferred certifications include Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or CompTIA Network+.

Technical Skills:-

• Network design and implementation
• Network troubleshooting and performance tuning
• Knowledge of LAN, WAN, and Wireless Networks
• Understanding of network security standards and best practices
• Proficiency in configuring routers, switches, and firewalls
• Knowledge of cloud networking concept
• Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents that L1 cannot handle
• Configure switches, routers, and firewalls (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Velo SDWAN etc.)
• Analyze logs and traffic patterns to diagnose network bottlenecks
• Support VPN, VLANs, wireless networks, and site-to-site connectivity
• Implement routine changes and upgrades to network systems
• Maintain network diagrams and update technical documentation
• Design and implement enterprise-level network architectures
• Lead major network upgrades, migrations, and deployments
• Resolve critical network issues and perform root cause analysis
• Define network policies, security standards, and compliance protocols
• Evaluate new networking technologies and tools
• Mentor L1 and L2 engineers and lead technical projects
• Collaborate with IT leadership and business units on strategic initiatives

Skills Required:

• In-depth knowledge of network protocols and device configuration
• Experience with Cisco IOS, Palo Alto firewall rules, Fertigate firewall
• Expertise in IOS upgradation of Cisco and Palo Alto network gears
• Work experience with Global protect VPN, URL filtering, site to site VPN, high availability
• Proficiency in Layer 2 switching, VLAN, VTP, STP, RSTP, trunk, port-channel, port-security, stack
• Working knowledge on VRF lite, Cisco nexus switches, NDFC datacenter connectivity
• Proficiency in Cisco wireless issues trouble shooting
• Good understanding on Cisco Catalyst center and ISE live trouble shooting
• Ability to analyze and interpret logs, packet captures, and monitoring data
• Working knowledge on monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG
• Certifications like CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent
• Advanced expertise in networking, cloud integration, and security
• Proficiency in managing complex routing, switching, and firewalls
• Deep knowledge of static routing, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, SD-WAN, and QoS
• Certifications like CCNP, CCIE, AWS Certified Advanced Networking, or Palo Alto Networks PCNSA/PCNSE
