Network Engineer - L2

We are hiring a hands-on L2 Network Engineer to manage and support enterprise network infrastructure, ensure high availability, and resolve critical network and security incidents within the SLA.

Responsibilities:

• L2 Operations: Provide Level 2 support for network incidents, ensure SLA compliance, and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring issues.
• Routing and Switching: Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco L2/L3 switches, routers, VLANs, inter-VLAN routing, STP, VTP, and ACLs. Resolve loops and broadcast storms.
• Firewall and Security: Implement firewall rules, NAT policies, and object cleanups on Check Point or Fortinet firewalls. Ensure network security compliance.
• VPN Management: Configure and troubleshoot site-to-site and remote access VPNs; resolve IKE/IPSec Phase 1 & 2 issues.
• Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor network performance using WhatsUp Gold, NetFlow Analyzer, and Syslog. Participate in change management and on-call rotations.

Requirements:

• 3 to 5 years of solid hands-on experience in L2 network operations.
• Strong expertise in Cisco routing/switching and L3 concepts.
• Hands-on experience with Check Point or Fortinet firewalls.
• Expertise in troubleshooting IPSec and Remote Access VPNs.
• Experience with network monitoring tools (WhatsApp Gold, Syslog, NetFlow).
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work in a 24x7 support environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications: CCNA / CCNP.
• Security Certifications: Check Point CCSA/CCSE or Fortinet NSE.
