Job Description – Network Engineer

• Monitor and provide L1 support for network infrastructure, including routers, switches, access switches, WIFI controller/AP and firewalls.
• Perform troubleshooting of LAN/WAN connectivity issues and escalate complex issues to the L2/L3 team.
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues related to leased lines, MPLS links, and other WAN connections.
• Coordinate with ISP/service providers for:
• New link installation and commissioning.
• Link activation and testing.
• Restoration of down/unavailable links.
• Troubleshooting and resolution of connectivity issues.
• Follow-up on ISP tickets and ensure timely closure.
• Coordinate with the Global Network/IT Team for planned network activities, changes, maintenance, and implementation.
• Follow approved change management and maintenance procedures for planned network activities.
• Perform basic configuration and troubleshooting of network devices under the guidance of L2/L3 teams.
• Maintain updated network documentation, including device details, connectivity information, ISP details, and escalation contacts.
• Manage and maintain network asset inventory, including routers, switches, firewalls, access switches, and related equipment.
• Ensure proper tracking of asset allocation, movement, replacement, and decommissioning.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and service providers for network-related incidents and requests.
• Ensure adherence to defined SLA, ITSM, security, and operational processes.
• Prepare and share regular status updates and reports related to network incidents, links, and operational activities.
