Network Administrator

Role & responsibilities:

Capacity analyst Key Responsibilities ? Capacity Planning & Forecasting: Analyze historical traffic data, growth trends, and business projections to model future network requirements and prevent congestion. ? Performance Monitoring: Continuously track bandwidth utilization, latency, packet loss, and CPU/memory usage across routers, switches, firewalls, and cloud connectivity. ? Resource Optimization: Identify underutilized or overprovisioned resources to optimize infrastructure costs without compromising SLA performance. ? Reporting & Metrics: Create regular capacity dashboards and executive reports detailing utilization trends, risk assessments, and recommended upgrades. ? Collaboration & Alignment: Work closely with Network Architecture, Systems Engineering, Telecom vendors, and Finance to plan infrastructure expansions and procurement timelines. ? Incident Escalation & Mitigation: Support operational teams during capacity-related outages or unexpected traffic spikes, implementing short-term mitigation strategies.

Preferred candidate profile :

Education & Experience: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field; 4+ years of experience in network engineering or capacity management. ? Technical Skills: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS, VPNs, cloud networks (AWS/Azure/GCP), and SD-WAN architectures. ? Certifications: CCNA(Preferred), CCNP/ITIL v4 (Capacity Management module), or AWS/Azure Networking Certifications (Optional).
